Prosthetics

Choosing a prosthetist is an important decision for those facing an amputation. Each person’s needs and preferences are unique. We understand that the choice is ultimately yours when deciding which company to use, and we value your decision to use Treasure Coast Prosthetic and Orthotic Services. A prosthesis is a custom-made device that will require several visits for a proper fit and numerous follow-up visits to maintain a good fit. We do offer home visits for unique situations, but we do strongly recommend a visit to our Vero Beach or Ft. Pierce office for the quickest and most thorough treatment available.

Today’s healthcare environment demands good communication between your prosthetist, your physician and your therapist. With over 35 years of ongoing experience along the Treasure Coast of Florida, we have established strong relationships with many of these providers which make us uniquely qualified to offer you with the most thorough prosthetic care. We take great pride in our attention to detail when fabricating your prosthetic device and all fabrication is done in our central fabrication lab.

Our full-time technician has been with Treasure Coast Prosthetic and Orthotic Services since 2000, and he is experienced with the fabrication, maintenance and repairs of all prosthetic and orthotic devices. In addition, our clinicians take great pride in the fact that they are involved in all aspects of fabrication and maintenance.

Insurances have become complex and confusing to many. Our friendly and experienced office staff is always available to answer your billing questions, and they are trained to simplify the billing and reimbursement process. We are providers for Medicare and Medicaid, and we will work with your private insurance to determine your eligibility.
